GMI has been in business since 1992 as an HVAC contractor. Typically, we execute numerous small to medium sized projects each year.  We are well organized and sustain a high level of internal/external communications.   This style allows for the accommodation of numerous complex projects each year and delivers successful results to Owners and General Contractors with detailed objectives and schedules. 

GMI has approximately 40-50 full time employees and many of them have been with the company for more than 10 years.   Further, GMI project managers and project field foremen are experienced, many of them have 5-10 years of managing projects and field work.  Much of this work is related to new construction or renovation projects in occupied facilities.  GMI typically assigns each project a GMI project manager and then is teamed up with a GMI field foreman to take on each project with continuity from start to finish.

The GMI shop supports field operations, logistics, and fabrication. Our shop is located in South Anchorage with 18,000 square feet of interior floor space with approximately 2.5 acres of fenced yard. GMI locally fabricates most of our ductwork from raw metal products. Our equipment is state-of-the-art and well maintained. Computer controlled CNC plasma cutting, spiral pipe production, welding, and specialty metal manufacturing are within our capabilities. This added flexibility is more important than ever as supply chain issues have caused scheduling and procurement difficulties. GMI custom fabrication has proven over and over to be a huge added benefit to our projects.
